I joined a team challenge at Dedham Strength and Fitness, to lose the most amount of weight and body fat over an 8-10
week period. It came with 2 free personal training sessions to get me started. I liked the way my body felt after 2 weeks and hired Anel as my trainer. At the end of 8 weeks, I lost 30 pounds, dropped 2 pants sizes and dropped 1 shirt size!

For me, the biggest motivator when engaging in a weight loss/exercise program are results...and I am more than pleased so far! I find myself doing exercises I didn't think I would be able to do at high intensity levels. With an individualized program I have learned about proper nutrition as well as an exercise plan that works for me. Training with Jenn Calderone has been a wonderful experience, we always have fun and my body has changed in ways I didn’t think were possible in such a short amount of time. Jenn’s training methods balance patience and persistence. In our initial consultation she really listened to what I wanted from the experience and tailored routines that challenge my muscles and my motivation. Even when I think I can’t possibly do another set or sit-up she claps her hands and says “two more, you can do it!” It is through her encouragement that I have become stronger both physically and mentally.

I have been working with Anel for the past three months now and I am honestly blown away at the transformation that my body has gone through during this time.
Let me preface by saying that I have worked out and taken care of my health and my body for my entire life. I am a trained dancer, I've run two marathons and numerous sprint triathlons. I eat well...actually more than well! I do yoga. I have never been overweight. I have the motivation to work out on my own.
All that said, what I have gained from the experience of working out with Anel is a new level intensity that I did not experience on my own. He mixes it up; my body and my mind cannot anticipate what to expect from each workout session and so I am always challenged- both physically and mentally. And honestly, the mental part is more important to me. I need the intellectual challenge, I need to have to focus in, to learn something new. And, in turn, my body is pushed in ways that make me stronger and leaner and more capable.
There are two things that stand out for me as the things that make Anel different than any other trainer that I have worked with. First, he really does take to heart the feedback I give him in our workouts. Whether its how best I am motivated to try harder or whether I believe a certain exercise puts the wrong strain on my body in any given day, his response is instantaneous and he remembers going forward. He is mindful of our time together.
The second great thing- and this I love! Anel does not just work me out, he sculpts my body. For example, I asked him recently why we had been doing so much shoulder work lately and he answered because he is having me do the things I need to do to create the shape he wants to create. When I've worked out alone or with other trainers, the goal was to get in shape, get lean, be strong. But no one ever said anything about sculpting my body in a specific way to create a certain aesthetic. I'm 48 years old and my body is shaped better than I think it's ever been.
The fact is I can go to the gym and workout on my own, I can motivate to get up in the morning and take my run- be it a long journey through the woods or sprints at the track. What I can't do is surprise myself. My workouts with Anel do that for me.

I wanted to send you a quick note about my half marathon. The race went really well! I know that running a marathon is mostly mental and as my hamstring and calves where burning at mile 11, I had to dig deep. What I really wanted to say was, I know you two also contributed to my success in completing the race. I felt so much stronger than I did when I ran back in May. So THANK YOU for helping me in my journey on this road to be fit for life!

After ending a five year relationship that brought me to LA and back, I realized that not only had a gained a significant amount of weight (about 30lbs!), I had also lost flexibility and physical fitness. I decided to embark on a journey to transform my body but in a healthy and natural way - regular trips to the gym and NO DIETING! I changed the way I ate, striving to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, I cut out most meats and dairy but never felt guilty about the occasional trip to JP Licks for some fro-yo or treating myself to a special dinner for a friends birthday. I joined Mike's gym almost a year and took advantage of the yoga classes and spent many an evening on the ellipical machine. I was feeling great and the pounds were slipping away, slowly but surely. However, a few months ago, I found myself stuck on a plateau, right around the 25lb mark. That's when I discovered NutFit. Not only has training with Sandra knocked me off my plateau, but I've also become stronger and more fit than ever. I've even started running on the treadmill - something my middle school self would have never imagined as I struggled to run that mile as a part of the President's Fitness Test (yeah, remember that!?!?). Thanks to NutFit and Sandra, I have not only surpassed my weight loss goal, but I feel confident that I will be able to maintain my new, trim figure!

I have worked with Anel Bellvue of Nutfit for the past year some of the time in a larger group setting and recently in a small group setting. I have always loved his work outs but not until this past summer did I take it to a higher level for myself. I truly found results that were visible. He has such a laid back approach to your workout that you don't even realize how hard you are working. He makes it fun and not something that you do not look forward to, He pushes you without you even realizing how strong you are becoming. I am the biggest complainer when it comes to working out but I truly love how I feel after working out with Anel and love how my clothes fit! Thanks
